I don’t think this is the first time Calvin has gone camping. He should have known there aren’t any electrical receptacles to plug in your electronics. One must be impressed though, how he lifts that microwave without anyone’s help. I have carried the television set on my own and it feels like you are about to break your back.
@crabman:the voltage drop on a 2-mile estension cord would be unacceptable.except if Calvin tapped a high-voltage line and installed a substation outside his tent.

Sausages don’t turn out well in a microwave!!

The microwave and TV will only work if he can find a current bush to plug them into.

He could use the microwave as a chair to sit on around the campfire.

I cook hot dogs and brats on the grill…even when it’s snowing. A week ago is a good example…

Hot dogs are already cooked. Just warm them in your hands for a few minutes using natural body heat…
…but never use your armpits!

@neverenoughgoldOf course not. you need your armpits for a little music with your meal!

Microwaves are good but there’s nothing like a lovely roaring fire.

Microwaves are great for leftovers and fast food, but does anyone even try to cook a meal in them anymore?
The closest we come is to “kick start” baked potatoes which we then finish in he oven.
As for me, if I can get to the barbecue, I use it.

Microwaves are great, but not as good as cooking hot dogs over a fire.
