I feel like Calvin about them – whenever I see one lying on the ground I need to pick it up because they’re too beautiful to be left there.

We don’t have buckeyes around here… we do, however, have a great many black walnuts that are encased in an evil-smelling rind and are heftier than you’d expect!

What’s a buckeye? Seriously, I’ve heard the word before, but never known what it meant.

Wow ! Learning something new every day ! I actually did a google search and found out about the Ohio Buckeye nut !

My uncle kept a buckeye in his suitcase, for luck and safe travels. Where a native Floridian got a buckeye from, I’ll never know.

The only buckeyes I had ever seen were the ones my wife made for us as a Christmas treat. They involved, among other things, peanut butter. But then, I’m from Texas.

Maybe he plans to climb onto a roof and drop the buckeye on Susie.
