Go to the yoga section in the sporting goods store, yoga pants are wonderful - not too hot, not too cold and they’re meant to fit just right.

I workout in old sweats and t-shirts. The garbage collectors usually smile and wave, so I guess I’m not looking too bad. ;-)
i thought all those fancy workout clothes were to go to the grocery store and look like you worked out…

Glad I’m out of touch on this one. I exercise in nice loosish sweats and T-shirts too… had no idea tight was in vogue. Oh well, even if I wanted it, they wouldn’t offer it in talls, and the only thing worse than a spandex shirt is a short spandex shirt

My wife won’t go to the gym in her new tight sportswear because she is afraid all the beautiful fit people with the bodies of 19 year old supermodels will look down at her.
Yesterday, the 30 lb overweight businessman puffed and panted next to me. I felt perfectly at home in my sweats.

“Working out”?
As I understand it, this involves buying expensive, specialized clothing and then driving your car and riding the elevator up to a facility where you then spend your time on machines that simulate walking, bicycle riding and stair climbing. Oh, yes, and other machines that simulate lifting heavy objects.
Why not just walk someplace, maybe hike around the local forest preserve? No special clothing required and the scenery’s better (especially if somebody like Cathy is part of the scenery at the gym). As for lifting heavy things, I hear UPS is hiring…

i don’t look good in brown, but thanks for all the psycho-babble. my exercise is pushing back from the table. if the table moves i don’t think exercise is for you. you gotta know when to shut your mouth. food the bane of the overweight.

I’m with Puddleglum. Why spend all that money for the gym when you can just go to a park or a nice neighbourhood and walk? There are some beautiful neighbourhoods here in London with huge houses like I dream of living in. We enjoy driving through that part of town, I think I’ll suggest to my husband in the spring we take a few walks in them.

Buy something to workout with at home. I enjoy my mini trampoline. I wear comfortable workout clothes from Walmart. I do love the yoga pants to wear around the house.
