LOL It’s pretty bad when two women say such things about Cathy. As for me, I pity Irving. He actually marries her. Why? Love is blind. A bit deaf and dumb too, but there you are.
Cathy’s “thinking” is typical of someone who is in denial about her problems (in this case her weight). I used to believe crazy stuff like this, but that was back in high school before I became educated and learned the facts.
I don’t pity Irving. He’s just as nuts as she is, just in a different way.
I like how she says, “…without eating a thing…”, completely forgetting about the cookie, shake and/or ice cream cone that she likely had while visiting the food court.

Irving is a jerk. Cathy just sounds like any other woman in denial about her weight.
