You pinched your pennies, but you let your $50 and $100 bills wander around the mall completely unsupervised. Cathy: I thought the big ones could take care of themselves.

Yeah, ‘Penny wise and dollar foolish’. We know the symptoms and have identified the disease, but the only cure is poverty.
