I remember commercials for “Mystery Date”, which is probably what “Hunky Hunks” is based on. None of the girls of my acquaintance ever owned or played it (to the best of my knowledge), but I remember my sister and her friends saying that the “Duds” in the commercials looked like more fun than the “Dream Boats.”
On the other hand, Barbie always had her own sports car, rather than having to ride shotgun in Ken’s junkyard special…
In high school I knew a unattractive girl who wouldn’t date this guy who made Michaelangelo’s “David” look disfigured because he didn’t havea car. I’ve also had guys try to impress me with their cars…fat chance.
