Good morning Grog, Dry, Sugie, cleo, StelBel and everyone.
StelBel, please let us know how Quincy Jack is doing. He has been on my mind, as have you, since I learned about his falling ill a few days ago.
I know how that feels. I lost my two elderly boys within the last year and a half. Benjamin was 13 and Andrew was 14.
They lived, by dog standards, a long life and it was filled with love and happiness. But I still mourn and miss them.
So I hope with all my heart that Quincy Jack recovers and shares many more happy days with you. Good wishes and love to you my friend, and to Quincy Jack.
puppybreath I had 2 dogs, grew up together, one passed at 16 and one at 17. My last kittie before these, she lived 4 days past her 16th birthday. Loved those pets so much! Sure miss âem!
Maybe the public libraries SHOULD lease out some space for a little coffee shop a la Barnes and Noble. It could offset the annual financial worries they have.
Good thinking, Fergus! (âŠbecause Iâm sure thatâs what he was concerned about! LOL)
Good Morning, Puppybreath, Dry, Lonewolf, Cleokaya, Grog and Sugie63!
Iâm happy to report that Quincy Jack continues to improve: good appetite, alert, more energy and a blur of a wagging tail! Still a little leery about the porch steps, but otherwise very good progress, which, if he continues to get better over the weekend, will allow me to relax. I feel like we indeed dodged a bullet! Thanks for all the positive energy that you sent our way! Youâre all very special in our opinion!!
Quincyâs sister, Josephine, passed on in 6/09 (diabetes)
Brother, Andrew Ransom, in 10/09 (Cushingâs Disease)
Sister, Stella Mae, in 3/10 (Quinceyâs twin - -sudden seizures)
They were all born 1/98 and I couldnât bear to give them up, so kept them all. Mom, Lulu, passed on in 1/07. Iâm just not ready to lose Quincy, tooâŠ
It sounds like youâve all been there and understand only too well. I canât tell you how much we appreciate your support and caring. Thanks, everyone!
Pretty soon the librarian is going to tell her to keep her voice down.
Great news and Good Morning to you StelBel Hopefully the improvement will continue. You gave your dogs some interesting names. Is there a story behind them?
Thanks for the link Bob Ress. Iâve always found libraryâs to be very peaceful places. My mother was a volunteer at our local library after she retired from nursing. She did that in between babysitting her grandsons while we worked.
My library is on wheels. The bookmobile stops just a mile down the road on every Tuesday. Since I live several miles from town this is perfect and you can put in requests online and have them awaiting your next visit.
Cleokaya: Stella Maeâafter my great aunt in whose
230 yr. old house I now live
Quincy Jackâafter Jack Klugmanâs TV
character, Quincy M.E. and
Jack after my grandfather
Andrew Ransomâafter Andrew Jackson
and Ransom, my great,
great uncle
Lulu and Josephineâno stories hereâŠ
just liked the names, though
my mother used to sing the
theme song for Little Lulu all
the time!
StelBel I see you have an âitchy trigger fingerâ! LOL!
Happens to the best of us! I wondered when I saw that name, Quincy Jack. Immediately I thought of Quincy and Jack Klugman. Josephine was my motherâs name.
Sorry about the multiple post! It kept loading and loading for almost 10 minutes, so I kept clicking âpost commentâ. Then I lost the internet connection completely! Enough to drive you bonkers!
BTW, the link above is to the original theme for Little Lulu.
Great show, Quincy M.E. We used to watch it all the time.
Grog, glad that you are feeling better. I have been fighting a cold for the last few days that actually started with the loss of my hearing, but that scare turned into being just a symptom of what was to come. (I do not mean total loss of my hearing, just felt like someone had stuffed my ears with cotton balls).
cleo, I can relate. Itâs been a while but the last time something like that happened to me I was on business in Edmonton. The flight back to Montreal rather painful on the ears.
Hope you will be feeling better soon. Fortunately mine was related to some dental work and the the infection involved. I am on antibiotics right now. It was only a matter of time before they started taking effect.

That may be a good idea for a book store, Fergie - but not a Library, so Shhhhhhh!. In fact I know one in Edmonton that had a Star Bucks in it.
Good Morning, cleo, sugie & Fellow Baby!

I can remember when going to the library was a big deal. Now it seems as if people canât go into a place and be quiet. No cells, no chit chat.
Good Morning Grog, Dry, Cleo, Lonewolf, StelBel & all.
Grog, hope you are feeling better.
StelBel, glad to hear that Quincy Jack is doing well. The power of prayer is awsome!

Even though I loved Quincy and Jack Klugman it never crossed my mind about the name. Sigh, the wonderfulness of being old LOL.
