Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
The niño for whom the phenomena are named, definitely had an attitude, generally more humorous than generally portrayed, & angered mostly by greed. It is a good morning, with one less rich %$#@! who wants to bend the world to his will. Let the rain come.
Fellow Baby, I can’t get enough of almonds and peanuts, and you can’t get enough of pecans! LOL!
Hepburn and Tracy and Bogey and Bacall, yes also great pairings. Of course, everyone knows Bogey and Bacall were married in real life, and Hepburn and Tracy would have been have Tracy not been Roman Catholic, so instead they carried on a lifelong love affair. But I guess I prefer the other pairings better because even though I like the above 4 named people, I liked Loy, Powell, Wayne and O’Hara more.
Fellow Baby, I think I’d have to go with Bacall/Bogart as my favorites. There was just something like an electrical charge when they got together. You could almost see the sparks flying. But O’Hara/Wayne would be next on my list on the strength of The Quiet Man & McLintock
Fellow Baby of course Bogie and Bacall had an electrical charge! They got married didn’t they? LOL!
I just went and checked Maureen O’Hara’s bio on Wikipedia. I would love to read her autobiography. She is one classy lady. So is Bacall, etc. Pity today’s stars don’t have that kind of style, IMHO.
I think that’s part of the reason I can’t get into a lot of today’s movies and TV shows: today’s stars just dont have the appeal. Some are no different than today’s sports celebrities. And don’t get me started on Charlie Sheen.
Yes, forgot about that one, cleo. So many good actors and pairings to see back in the day.
I also remember Loy & Grant in Bachelor & the Bobbysoxer. That was also pretty good. But Grant had a way of making any movie work no matter who was the leading lady.

OK, OK, I won’t! Too bad. Tom Berringer and Corbin Bersen were worth watching. And I love Bob Uecker.
Just a bit outside. Ball four….ball eight…
