The only thing I remember about snow days was that there were too few of them. Wisconsin is very efficient in snow removal. Not good for the kiddies!

We had to have a pretty good dump of snow in Montreal to get a snow day as well – but it did happen every once in a while. But a storm on Saturday did nothing for us on Monday.

If you’ve heard the weather report, better put another blanket on the bed tonight…supposed to be in the 40’s!

Not down….just hate to see summer fade away! Plus, we did this whole “snow” thing a couple weeks back on the strip.

Do you ever come back throughout the day? Because I left a link for you 2 days ago, and I’m not sure you saw it. Here it is again…I think this is the song you were thinking of (I know, I know…ending with a preposition is a no-no. I defy the grammar gods!!! lol)

On the up side, StelBel, they’ll be having summer fun while you’re hip deep in the stuff. Those summer strips will have you looking forward to an early spring.

great ol’ song, stel ol’ bel! I had forgotten that the only musical accompaniment was , what sounded like , a harpsichord.I particularly liked the deep voiced guy in the background doing his BO-BO BO BO BO .this Nat King Cole classic was my favorite from that wonderful period of music that just made you feel good about the onset of summer…..I apologize for the ad that utube seems to be sneaking in at the beginning of videos these days:

Good morning kids. Hope all is well with everyone today..nighthawks & StelBel thank you for those blasts of summer. With all the talk of snow and the crazy fall temps around lately, we need as much summer as we can get.

Would you believe a few years ago we had a snowday in Henderson NV. They don’t have plows so the kids got off.

Good Afternoon CDers! Someone is going to pay for sending snow on a weekend, that’s for sure.

We didn’t have snow days. I grew up in a small town in Canada, where snow is a part of life. We kids just bundled up and trundled out, playing all the way to school.

NOW YOU ARE TALKING STEL! PHIL COLLINS, “IN THE AIR TONIGHT”! Already loved the song, LOVE PHIL COLLINS AND GENESIS, have a bunch of their music, my BESTEST FAVORITE “DAYS OF OUR LIVES” had that song playing in a certain BIG SCENE back in the ’80’s and to this day, when I hear that song, I can still see that whole scene play out!

STEL THAT WAS THE BEST VIDEO I HAVE SEEN OF THAT YET! Hubby thought I was nuts, I was sitting here singing along, rockin’ and reelin’ while he was trying to watch “Inspector Morse”! ROFLMAO!

One of these days I’ll buy that and Selling England By the Pound on CD. I think next year I’ll put more focus on replacing some of that vinyl. There are a number of Rolling Stones albums I’d like to replace as well as April Wine, Bowie, Clapton, ELO, Heart, Joel, Led Zeppelin, Mellencamp, Nicks, Pink Floyd (particularly Dark Side of the Moon), Queen, Seger, Springsteen, Airplane/Starship and of course the last of my favoriite albums to pick up, Hotel California.

I think I’ll call it a night now.

all this talk about my vinyl go me thinking.last year i bought mom a mini sound system with a turntable on it.so…i went and got my old vinyl.Cheap Thrills by Big Brother and the Holding Company still sounds good.

J. Joplin singing the long version of Ball and Chain still tares my heart out.
