We had a Koi pond when we lived in So Cal. Never had problems with cats, it was the raccoons who got free sushi. Tried everything including putting red pepper around the pond, they loved it. Ooh, spicy sushi. Finally installed a low voltage electric fence, that took care of matters. Didn’t kill them it just gave them a “memorable shock”. Husband tested it out on me, he thought it wasn’t working, he had sneakers on and was grounded, I didn’t and it almost knocked me on my A$$.
Fellow Baby, it seemed to me that when Alda began taking a more active role in the show’s production, the show took on a more serious note and could no longer be considered a comedy. And that series finale was most forgetable.
@StelBel – you always come up with the greatest pictures. Saw on the news two giraffes fighting but I’ve never seen anything like your picture. Amazing.@happyathome – love your picture. Love those cats!
I haven’t seen cats or raccoons causing problems at the local koi pond, but I have seen an osprey come out of nowhere and make off with the “catch of the day!”
Fellow Baby, Yes, the more control Alan Alda got over the program, the worse it became. The only bright spots to look forward to were David Ogden Stiers and Jamie Farr.
I watched all the MASH episodes, and enjoyed most. I wasn’t thrilled about the progression of Hot-lips and Frank’s affair, although it was funny at first.
Grog, I was talking to my mom on the phone.I don’t think I’ve seen the movie. I’d love to see how she got her name. I forgot her name was Margaret. Hoolihan was her last name I remember.
Shika, it’s worth seeing if you ever get the chance. It stars Donald Sutherland (Hawkeye), Elliot Gould (Trapper), Tom Skerritt , Sally Kellerman (Hot Lips) and Robert Duvall (“Ferret Face” Frank Burns). Gary Burghoff is the only familiar face in the movie from the TV show.
I’m afraid I’m turning in early here. My throat is killing me now. What next? I just came from the doctor’s for my conjunctivitis. Going to bed now. It’s hard to swallow.
