We always make our own salad dressing so we have a near endless assortment of choices, depending on what is I our fridge and pantry.

Today is our first day of Summer…….it should be in the low 80’s for the first time this year. :))

It got up to 70 here yesterday, and the girl & I sat on the couch and panted.

“If you are going to have…”I like potato chips dipped in ranch dressing. Had some yesterday afternoon as a snack…

How can anyone object to your artwork? This one was sweet. (don’t like dills)!

Here in Portland Oregon it is supposed to be 97, I’ve got all the blinds down and I’m not going outside! Sniff, snivel, whine, we’re not used to this.Meanwhile in Vegas, 112. Gad, I’m glad we moved from there! Dazz must be melting in Phoenix.

Todays strip and comments had me laughing. Sorry not to have posted yesterday. I got in trouble at the hospital. I was told if I couldnt follow the rules, I would be banned from ICU. So, after seeing Linda and taking her real coffee, I had to take the laptop home. She is expected to move from ICU tomorrow, hopefully. I had some kind of tummy upset and really felt awful yesterday. It may have been that snotty little nurse talking to me like a 3 year old, but may have been something you pick up when you are in a hospital setting. I am 64 years old and havent been talked to like she did ever in my life. My mother and father were reasonable people and expected their children to be as well. If we were to act out, the embarrassment of my parents would have struck our hearts and made us ashamed of ourselves. I treated my children the same, and they turned out well.Queen of America, I hope your kitties get better soon and that you dont have to clean up after them as much. I know what a chore that is.Eldo, Linda told me to tell you to never stop your redoux’s. They are artistic and funny as well.Linda thinks her name is Beth, a lady with Lyme disease, and she wants to know how she is doing, and to tell her that she has her in her thoughts and prayers.I have an appointment and need to go but I will try to post again tomorrow with some funnies. Well my son and his beau left yesterday and they are now traveling east toward good ole Buflo. Hope they don’t run into any problems (fingers & toes crossed).

No better salad dressing than English salad cream!

I always make my own dressings – natch! That way I know there is nothing in it that I don’t want. I just made more of my fav. bean salad with red wine vinegar, good olive oil and 8 spices besides salt (and I can control amount of salt). The powdered mustard, cayenne and dill are the most important and all ground together in my pestle.

I went to five grocery stores today looking for a 3oz box of lemon jello.What’s up? Have they stopped making jello in 3oz boxes?How am I supposed to make my pineapple cheesecake without lemon jello?

70c is too hot when the humidity is up around 80%

HAPPY they are downsizing EVERYTHING! AND I MEAN EVERYTHING! AND SOME THINGS ARE GOING ON THE CHEAP SIDE! Here’s a partial list:

Pet food- used to be 5 lb bags, the small size here now they are 3.5, but the larger sizes are no different! Smaller there too.

Coffee- one FULL POUND!! WENT TO 13 OUNCES, NOW IT IS 11.3 OUNCES!

KLEENEX, AKA SNOT RAGS OF ANY BRAND, SMALLER, THINNER, WORHTLESS FOR MORE THAN ONE BLOW, AND FALL APART IF YOU TRY FOR A THIRD BLOW! NO MATTER WHAT BRAND! AND THERE IS WAY LESS TISSUES IN THE BOX THAN THERE USED TO BE!

AND TOILET TISSUE, LAUNDRY AND DISH DETERGENT, TOOTHPASTE, ETC, ETC, ETC,

AND THE PRICE GOES UP, AND UP, AND UP! AND I JUST POSTED OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD!

Everytime I go to the grocery store, I see more and more of it, but can’t remember it all at the moment!

Oh yeah, try to find a 16 oz can of any VEGETABLE, SOUP, ETC.

ONE MORE! AND THIS ONE REALLY TICKED ME OFF! CHECK OUT BOXED CEREAL, ANY BRAND, BOXES ARE WAY WAY THINNER, OUNCES ARE WAY WAY LESS! AND THE PRICE IS MORE!

OKAY, I AM DONE WITH MY RANT NOW!!

87 degrees today. Thank goodness we live on a lake!
