reminds me of seeing my great nephew playing hop scotch last week, he threw the stone then ran for the other end, ran back and picked up the stone and said “just like my sissy dood it”
Mr. Hinds, I always enjoy reading your strip even though I’m not into sports. I really appreciate your thoughtfulness at responding to questions from readers & wishing Joy a Happy Birthday yesterday.
It’s always nice to get feedback on strips. I would comment here more often, but I don’t want to inhibit the reader’s thoughts.
I’m disappointed that Cleats isn’t in more papers. I’m afraid people shy away from it because its a “soccer strip.” I intend it to be more than that.
By the way, I’m sure all the cartoonists on GoComics are grateful for their readers, and most likely read the comments.
occasional commentary from cartoonists is part of what expanded my use of this site to read the strips i like. i find the commentary in general enhances my enjoyment, and often adds to the humour. the first time i saw a comment from an author, it was a pleasant surprise. now, it’s something that adds to the enjoyment of the site (at least for me).
as for feedback, the recent arc about playing soccer in heavy wind was a trip down memory lane for me, as i’ve watched 2 nephews and 3 nieces (all but one of whom played keeper at least part of the time) for years. i only discovered this strip on line, but i’m really enjoying it.
i also didn’t realize you were the guy on Tank McNamara until you posted there to a comment i made. thanks for sharing your talents.
This is so like real life. I’ve watched many children learn to skip rope and this strip is perfect! So cute!
I also thank you for adding your greetings. This is a great community.

I found this through Yahoo’s Comics. But they shrink it too much. Then I found it via GoComics.
