Cleats by Bill Hinds for May 24, 2021
Transcript:
Bailey's Dad: Bailey needs a new pair of cleats. Whoa, look at this! Excuse me, these shoes look well made. Why are they so cheap? Uh--this box has two right-foot shoes in it. Clerk: They all do. The company did focus groups and found out most soccer players are right-footed. Corporate bottom-line dudes decided they could cut costs by only making right shoes. Bailey's Dad: Have you sold any? Clerk: No. Bailey: I can't run straight, Dad! Bailey's Dad: Keep running, Bailey. It may take awhile to break in these cleats.

That doesn’t even make any sense. Especially after the guy told him no one bought them.

Stupid focus groups.

Sounds more like a Government program than a focus group, but the only real difference between the two is that the members of a focus group get paid better.
