A great April Fool’s Day gag was one some of my college chums pulled on the guy who kept bragging about his SCUBA exploits.
He had gone out of town that weekend, with April 1 being a Sunday.
They got into his dorm room, carefully covered all furniture and lower walls with a big plastic sheet, and rigged the doorway with a plexiglas box so the door could still open. Then they filled the room with a foot of artificial seawater and a small live shark. Some of them wanted to fill it deeper, but it was pointed out that even ferro-concrete buildings have load limits.
Rice University, Houston, Texas.
Not really a complicated prank, not even in the same category as the group who picked up the large statue of W.M. Rice in the middle of campus and rotated it 180 degrees.
