The Prez is primarily a figurehead, the CEO of the country. He has minions to do the work. He makes the decisions (with the help of advisors), talks and gets credit for what happens during his administration, both good and bad. Some are better at CEOing than others; there are those that look good and others make some good decisions.
And while I’m at it, thank you, Hilary Clinton, for that mind-numbing, buck-passing bit of folk wisdom from folks who still live in agriculture-based villages. Not that it isn’t funny here, giving Senator Kev a good ol’ slap-down.

I’m sure Obama didn’t write the 2000 pages of legislation himself, but it’s got his name on it (figuratively), so yes, he DID make that.
