Last week I wrote: …“Awwww……. do we have to wait till next week to see what Bucky looks like after the “legendary ferret party”?” Weelllll…. I am still LOL at Bucky’s looks in panel 6 and 8. More next week please….
Hiding in a piñata would be a bit like a scurrilous scoundrel seeking the haven of public office for the purpose of carrying on unsavory activities without being subject to scrutiny.
I’m in Mensa and I can honestly say I’ve never known any member to get into a piñata..But I do remember looking at a display of “licensed character” piñatas and thinking what a surreal experience it would be to watch some little girl dressed all in pink Barbie regalia wailing away on her papier mache doppelganger with a stick.
You gotta love it! "Get Fuzzy is my favorite comic & is something I look forward to everyday by reading it. In my life where there are more downs than ups right now, this cartoon helps to lift my spirits.
In Spanish, in particular in Mexico, menso is a person who is stupid, foolish, etc. Mensa is the feminine form of that word. So in Spanish, hiding inside a piñata is precisely the definition of being a Mensa. (And let’s not forget that piñatas are naturally associated to México.)
I believe this is the first time I ever saw Bucky standing on all 4 paws like a normal cat. Even without the Pinata he looks fatter this way then standing up. Not criticizing, just commenting.
They are synonyms. Try looking it in reverse (look for menso in the English→Spanish section), or in a Spanish thesaurus. Anyway, you can find menso in pretty much any Spanish dictionary, certainly in all the ones I checked including the one of the RAE (the Royal Spanish Academy, the organization that oversees the Spanish language).
