Good morning, Vagabonds. yesterday, I attended a lecture at the Jewish Genealogical Society given by Phyllis Kramer, an expert Jewish genealogist. Her topic was ship arrivals to the USA.

After the lecture, I met another 2nd cousin once removed who came in from Long Island. As arranged, I gave him the postcards I’ve accumulated over my years of travel. At least i didn’t have to throw them away in mininalizing my things. They’ll be enjoyed for another generation.

Good morning Vagabonds.Had a good start this week. Went to get a pizza for supper last night and my alternator died so I have to go see to my mechanic to have him replace it. Also need to get my muffler replaced, but I knew about that. At least the weather will be good.

Guten Morgen, Vagabonds. Having a great time mit unsere Deutschfreunden (with our German friends). We celebrated her 33rd birthday yesterday with a cake and a backyard cookout. They had never heard of adding mesquite wood to the charcoal briquettes for the smoking flavor, so we were able to give them a little Texas education in the process. The cake was decorated with a Texas shape and colored like the Texas flag. Had a great time!

    Good Morning, Vagabonds,

Sounds like everyone had a great weekend.

It’s nice to know that they opened up the sets for “Bonanza” to the public, Jan. That must have been a real treat! Enjoyed that show. I guess I’m a Western fan through and through.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Rita, I still have the copy we bought there of the Ponderosa map autographed by all 4 original stars (well, facsimile signatures anyway). You remember, the map that burned from the center out during the opening credits.

I am going to talk to Blaze’s vet today and try to get the liquid antibiotics for him. He did not get a pill last night and he’s almost not afraid of me this morning.

I met a friend this morning for an early walk around the park across the street from my home. This was our first time out, but we plan to keep it up at least through next spring, 3 times a week. The weather is gorgeous and perfect for a walk in the park. (Different type of park than most folks are used to. It is all desert landscape, including growing tumbleweeds and barrel cactus. No grass (except on the sports fields), just lots of dirt, gravel and plants – and sports fields up the wazzoo. I think there are 15 different fields, 10 for soccer and 5 for baseball. Definitely not a place for picnics, but it has a great walkway all around, amongst and through. Perfect for joggers, dog walkers and simple exercise.)
