I’ve been watching/reading/hearing about these damnable “tightrope walkers” since I waz a kid and, as it seems, my great grandparents did so in the slug-type news of the 1800’s..(as found in old trunks and attics) All it amounts to is ‘The Entertainment Tonight’ of the citizens with “Bread and Circuses..” Now that we have The Science Channel, The Travel Channel, and other such channels telling us all about “survival in Alaska/South America/Australia/Alabama” (replete with helicopters, tele-shots and ‘miked’ sound, what will we expect in the next 10 years of what used to be ‘useful’ channels and ‘their offerings?’ Rant not officially over, just out of breath.
