The boxes at our post offices are on the left side. But I don’t know about the street ones. I don’t live in town, but do have to drive 1/2 mile and get out of the car to get our mail. Our neighbors get theirs at their house. Have been trying to have it delivered at house but not yet. 20 yrs. ago the mailboxes were tampered with on another street, so we HAD to have a lock box. But the new residences have home delivery.

Yeah, it’ll do the car good to get in some extra movement.
BTW…. those mailboxes are frustrating anyway.
Useless unless you have a passenger.
The two I know of here are both in spots where there’s NO parking for at least a whole block.
Sometimes you can’t find a place at all….
Hard to even walk back and drop in your mail on the other side.
Maybe they’re intended to punish single-occupancy driving.

I just go out to our mailbox by the street, put in the envelope and raise the flag. I guess that’s too much effort for this crew.

A front bumper sticker telling the car ahead of you to back off? How does that work?

Since the time of mailed bombs and tainted mail, about the only place to find a mail box is outside of a post office.
