I often wished for a course, “The Psychology of Advertising”, while I was at university. Why do advertisers assume we will buy their product based on how it is presented? I have come to realize that most ads point out that you are not perfect, but this product® will help you along; be it make-up, clothing, beer, pharmaceuticals, a new truck…whatever.

This comic is as applicable today with the kardashians flogging crap as it was 30 years ago.
