This is the reason why they tell women in business that you can’t use passive communication with men, or they will never understand what you are saying. That said, Elly’s passive communication is pretty funny with just two eyeballs and a nose by the end.
Also, “Cover me Sam. I’m going in there” is a reference to Dick Tracy and his associate Sam Catchem.
Given the fact that most bedrooms contain a tv, it’s no wonder statistics have shown a shrinking birth rate. But also given the behavior of some age groups, some couples should have installed bedroom tv the week after the wedding.
We have a TV in the bedroom, but we also have an agreement that if one of us wants to sleep, the other goes to the living room to watch TV. Besides, we read more than we watch TV in the bedroom anyway.
The t.v. in the bedroom is for my wife. I never watch television in the bedroom.
She normally goes to bed much earlier in the evening than I do and has a couple of favorite telenovellas until she falls asleep. I watch my programs in the living room and crash about midnight.
I was never one to lie in bed, and watch televison, to go to sleep….watching from my La-Z-Boy and falling asleep, is another story !
In Elly’s day, women did suck it up and endure it because we were taught that was the thing to do. Now, many of the more modern women of today would yell a few obscenities and grab the remote away. I’m not saying it’s wrong…but it sure is a faster end result!
We have a TV in the bedroom but no one ever watches it. It has a 9 inch screen and is analog. I would get rid of it but it’s so old the recycling places won’t take it.

Quick, Elly, turn off the TV for him and take out as well as hide the remote’s batteries!

I always turn the volume down low and turn on the subtitles. That way, I can watch TV as late as I please – not a great habit!

Noise never bothers me when I’m going to sleep. The only thing that bothers me is changing the light.

In over 35 years of marriage, we’ve only ever had one TV and that’s the one in the living room.

Absolutely and positively – NO tv in the bedroom ever! Bedrooms are for other activities. Sleeping of course, what did you think?

Never, ever have a TV in the bedroom, or a computer, or anything other devices. The bedroom is for two things and one of them is sleeping.
