Clayton: So all of these people just stand around in the cold for hours. Just waiting to watch a ball of light go down a pole?
Adam: Pretty silly, right?
Clayton: Totally. I can't wait 'til I'm old enough to do that.
I’ve never understood why people like watching other people having more fun than they are on TV when they could be downing champagne or having a kiss that spans two years…

Doctor Toon… Sounds good! We’ll be doing the same only with a Westie and a Cairn.

Ah to be young and innocent. Times Square at midnight with the drunks, the muggers and pickpockets - such ‘fun’!
We all look at this when we are his age and see the best of it, then we experience it and may see the worst of it.
So, for me, it is great to watch it on TV with my favorite beverage and no fear of being on the road.
Happy New Year to all my fellow readers. May yours be a better one than the ones in the past!

I wouldn’t mind being the guy who gets to lower the ball.

It’s a balmy 5 degrees here today! Woo whee … the folks at Nathan Phillips Square won’t be frozen like Dec 08/Jan 09 when it was in the -22 mark.
Happy New Year and Merry 7th Day of Christmas everyone! I’m just gonna hang out alone tonight.

I don’t have any champagne, so I think I’ll chug a beer and do several somersaults.

Consuming massive quantities of antifreeze helps alleviate the boredom of waiting for the ball to drop.
