Retailers are always trying to beat their competitors at launching their holiday sales.Itâs gotten so bad that my local retailers are gearing up for Christmas 2020.
Actually for once I agree with Gladys. Halloween candy should be bought now. That way you can have your fill of it before the little ghouls and goblins come to call.;-D
Itâs a real timing problem.. you need to get there just as the discount sales start.. and for what it is worth.. Best Buy was playing âGood King Wenceslasâ music a couple of days ago.
This cartoon would be funny if it werenât true. Stores are already putting up Christmas trees and rows of Christmas decorations. Canât we get over one holiday season before we start the next? I remember when Christmas items didnât go up until Thanksgiving weekend.
One price/goodness tradeoff I heard is go early to get the âbestâ stuff at a high price, or wait for the prices to come down, and all that is left is candy corn and boxes of raisins. . . .
We used to buy boxes of cookies, wrapped 2 to a package. We were popular with the kids. Then we moved to an apartment, and didnât buy anything. There are a lot of kids living here, but I suspect they hold an event in the clubhouse for them.
