Once you do catch it, then what? It’s like the dog always chasing a car…..if you got it, what would you do with it then?

Sounds like Alice IS the fish-slapping bear.

Since when does Alice need an excuse to be grumpy?

Was the Mom upset because Alice didn’t encounter an (angry) bear?

I double dog dare a fish slapping bear to mess with Alice The Great ;)

Love Petey’s one eyeball not so sure about Alice in the last frame.

Alice will be like that all week since she won’t get to catch the “fish-slapping” bear. happy to see Petey kind of excited about his camp, even after the nosebleed he got yesterday.

People shouldn’t try to catch fish-slapping bears. They should be content to observe the fish-slapping bears in their native habitat, doing their fish-slapping dance.

Alice would have had more excitement if she slapped the bear with a fish…

Grumpy Alice is not a pretty picture. And it was good of Madeline to defend her fragile boy-child….

We saw bears at Yellowstone and Glacier. But, they didn’t slap anyone.
