“Here lies political decorum and mutual respect. Died after a long period or partisan bickering and self-seeking avarice. Democracy still survived.”
Perhaps it simply means that spring and the vaccination process are finally showing hope for a good outcome.
Prayers once again for the fallen, the afflicted, their caretakers, and the volunteers in every area. Also for the many people who have devised thoughtful new ways to make life brighter for so many, i.e., cards, drawings, Zoom performances, drive by celebrations, delivering food and goods to those who can’t get out, etc. They are out best examples for getting through it.
I saw a couple of daffodils in bloom while I was out walking yesterday. They were tucked away behind a fence separating the sidewalk from a thin strip of woods (maybe 10 trees deep) that borders a housing complex.
Our daffs are not up yet at all. Also, we live “down in the hollow” so they don’t o’dill until after all our other neighbors. The same goes for all the rest of our flora.
Because of all the warm weather this winter, my daffodils were actually about a month LATE in blooming. They never really got a good, early cold snap to get them set for growing earlier (they normally start blooming late Jan/early Feb and didn’t start till like the end of Feb this year.)

Considering what’s going on in our yard right now, I’m thinking that might be an EARLY bloomer.
(and now my silly subconscious has started to wonder what ladies wore before bloomers were invented)

I suppose being a late bloomer has its advantages, but I’m thinking there may be a shortage of pollen when they need it.

Just remember in the winter, far beneath the bitter snow, lies the seed that with the sun’s love in the spring becomes the rose.
