Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Wait until you even think about getting a car. You will be getting five calls a day offering you an extended warranty (on the car you haven’t bought yet). Some may even be in Chinese (my wife get a few of those).
And what’s really crazy, my name is on the title and hers is not, yet she is the one who gets hammered with all the spam calls. And almost all in Spanish which we can’t figure out since our name isn’t Hispanic.
The government has been working on the spoofing and spamming issues for years. They’re supposed to have a fix within a year or two. (sigh) Some carriers don’t have the technology required. I’d like to give them a deadline, advance them interest-free loans, and implement a simple system for reporting and fining/shutting down telemarketers who disregard the “Do Not Call” list and scammers. I get warranty calls every day and “Microsoft Windows Servicing Center” calls periodically (including yesterday).

That’s right. Those spammers even know our favorite swings, so look out.

Why can’t they do anything to crack down on those crooks and make it so painful for them that nobody else will try to do it again?

My apartment has hardwood floors, or linoleum in the kitchen and bath. I do not need my carpets cleaned.
