I haven’t called 911 for a couple of years now; but about 15 years ago I did call to report a roll-over accident on I-10 in Phoenix. After giving all the details of the accident, I was then transferred to the “real” 911 dispatcher to whom I had to give all the details again. I guess they were using “call screeners” to determine if the calls were really emergencies.
