The ground here is always muddy or icy most of the winter. I quit hanging lights where I would have to use a ladder.

My neighbor across the street always wins 1st or 2nd place for decorations. The lights keep my bedroom bright enough to read in bed. And, my steep driveway keeps me in the house if there’s ice or snow. Trying to get out would probably take out a snowman, an angel, Santa and his sleigh and at least two reindeer.

Does it excuse you from being a safety spotter?

He “ordered” them? Wondered if he ordered notes from the same company to get out of gym class in his younger days?

    Happy New Year!

Shouldn’t have to ask the father. That’s what an able bodied teenage son is for. :D

there’ve been two stories so far about geezers who got up on a ladder to shovel the roof and managed to tip the ladder over, injuring themselves badly in the fall. and several stories about folks getting buried in snow falling from the roof…

    hope 2023 goes better for them… ☺

I have some stand up outdoor decor (dog, snowman, tree). Garland lights go on the porch rail using cable ties. No ladder needed.
