After saying every child was picked up several times, we are treated to the unimaginable plot twist. It’s an ordinary day.

So that kid’s an orphan? … or what?

“I shall call him ‘ Mini-Crank’.”

I still wonder why all the parents were picking up their children (with one exception, of course).

Now, that’s green Crankshaft we know and love……

@sueb1863- I think that would be a definite no-no. High threat of a lawsuit.

And the kid probably lives 15 miles from the school in the opposite direction of Ed’s house.

This looks like the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Well, he’s doesn’t appear to be one of the ‘Rough Riders’, but, you never can tell.

He’s probably the one that lives farthest away too!

My school has “Fun Fridays” a few times a year, where the kids get to stay after and do fun activities. Then their parents pick them up. Instead of 50 kids, I’ll have 14. Those are the ones whose parents don’t love them.

“Every single kid is being picked up by their parents.” “Okay, guess we can all leave.” “Sorry Ed, I said every single kid but that’s not true. There’s no reason for me to have said every single kid but I did anyway.”

So we never will hear why every kid (except one) was picked up. Because there was no reason remotely close to realistic for that to happen on one random day.

I would expect Crankshaft to drive is whole route even though he only has only one stop to make.

Wonder how this kid got out of whatever’s going on.
