The point of the message is, would the red-headed cave-man in B.C. even know what a Christmas card is??

With the right/wrong attitude, ANYTHING can be political.

Seems most peoples’ skins are getting thinner and more sensitive these days. Takes little to set them off on some subject. Sad.

The origins of Christmas can be traced back to the ancient Roman and Norse civilizations. In fact, 25th December was not even Jesus’ date of birth. The early Christians appropriated what was originally a pagan holiday because it was convenient.

Depends on the sentiment expressed in the card I suppose.

Yes, how dare they wish you peace, joy or whatever jolly sentiment they are trying to force upon you. (sarcasm)

my wife is Jewish, if someone wishes her a ‘merry xmas’ she thanks them and see’s it not as religious dogma but someone wishing her the joy of the holidays.

Actually, there is a lot of politics going on during the Xmas story.

In public, it’s polite to say “Happy Holidays.” There are several all taking place at the same time. “Merry Christmas” doesn’t offend me, but how would you feel as a Christian if someone wished you “Happy Hannukah?”

I’m not religious, I send Christmas Cards. It’s the annual update. I don’t send a note, just a few pictures printed on the inside of the highlights of my past year.

Here’s my take: I’ll wish anyone a Merry Christmas. Even if they don’t celebrate the holiday, I can still wish them a merry December 25th. Besides, goodness knows I take no offense to being wished “Happy Hannukah” or Kwanza, or whatever other holiday you choose to name.

WE MUST CANCEL THE BLOODY CANCELLERS AND PROFESSIONAL OFFENDEES! I doubt if anything else, other than just completely ignoring them (very difficult) will work. Except an A bomb maybe….
