Soccer, properly known as football, is played by men in the rest of the world. Rugby Football is played by very hard men who do not wear body armour. American Football, which bears little or no resemblance to any oher form of football and is utterly incomprehensible outside the USA, is played by jocks wearing body armour.
You left out the part about US (and Canadian) football having as much time to rest (between downs) as it does to play – not counting official “time out” periods. It’s a lot like an Australian said after seeing a US game (with probable references to WW-II) “It’s a lot like you Yanks; not bad once you get started, but you take your ruddy time getting ready.”
Pah, soccer=boring and fake (IMO) – the only real footy is played by tight, tight Australian athletes in tight, tight shorts… full paced, all the time! Yeah!

American Football (and it’s Canadian variation) is an “explosion” sport and not to be confused with Soccer and “constant” movement
