Washington’s birthday has been a Federal holiday since the 1800’s, and still is. In the 1970’s it got moved to a Monday, like most Fed holidays…. so it’s today.
Lincoln’s birthday was never a Federal holiday… it’s a State holiday in some states.Other states call the Washington’s birthday holiday (or even some other day) “President’s Day”.
