People don’t realise that some of the thin ones that look like heavy paper are actually a kind of “styrofoam” …

actually called “extruded polystyrene foam"… as well.

it’s just squished thin and flat, and sometimes shiny.

You can see the foam cells inside, if you tear some.

And Dow Chemical wants you to know that its genuine Styrofoam™ brand of extruded polystyrene foam is an insulating and craft product,

that has never been used to make plates, cups and other dinnerware.

If you write laws to ban styrofoam cups or food containers, you’re legally banning a nonexistent thing.

I want Dow chemical to know that I don’t care…

I will still say “styrofoam cups” and I’ll still say don’t use them.

What has my Planet done for me, lately?

I love coffee. And if my only choice is a styrofoam cup, I’m using it! I take my own bags to the grocery store, I don’t use straws, I recycle as much as possible, and I don’t wear diapers…..yet! But when it comes to coffee……..

He’d like a plastic straw.
