I bet a lot of preschoolers had deep thoughts like that but no words for them yet.

You’re right chromosome. Deep down I was thinking about how the earth is forever moving, shifting and adapting to life’s forces and cosmic events, but when I went to speak about it, all that would come out would be “Man that’s quite a far out shift in the cement man. I wonder if I can get some lift if I pedal my bike off the highest corner.”

At first I didn’t understand these either, but now this has become my all time favorite (and that’s saying alot for someone as indecisive as myself).

You can always tell a comic strip is good by the way it is written. I learned a lot of big words as a kid from reading Calvin & Hobbes. Some of the comics I can think of that are uniquely written are Krazy Kat, Pogo, Lil’ Abner, Calvin & Hobbes and now – Cul de Sac

Those are some good comics there, Attila. But, the one of that list that I just never could take to was Pogo. Never liked it. I started trying to read it in the 1950’s. I don’t know if it has improved since then, but I gave up on it a long time ago!
