Petey: What happened to you? Alice: We went through the car wash and my hair got all fluffy. Are you still sick? Petey: Yes. Mom made me some chicken soup with all the noodles picked out. Alice: Why are you using a straw? Petey: Straws prevent any unwanted naturally occurring chunks from entering my system. Alice: I like chunks.

What’s wrong, Petey, of just having chicken broth? There are no chunks in it.

Vegetable soup with no veggies?

The noodles are the best part. Great hair, Alice.

Oh, man. I have a lot of food sensitivities, including to virtually all meats except pork. (It’s good my religion/beliefs allow pork.) I bought two cartons of vegetable broth (pork broth is hard to come by, unless you make it yourself) to use during medical tests. The veggie broth was among the worst stuff I’ve ever put in my mouth. (My face is getting all scrunched up.) The second carton is still sitting in my cabinet. I can’t eat it, think it would be wasteful to throw it away, and sure don’t want to foist it off on people with “food insecurity.” They’ve suffered enough already. What to do? (I don’t think Petey would like it, either!)

You can actually suck the noodles up through a straw if you try. I’ve done it!

I thought Alice’s hair was caused by static electricity. I was just waiting for her to touch Petey. I think it does prove my theory, however, that they went through the car wash with Alice’s windows down.
