I know the originator of this strip passed away some years ago…..I do not remember this strip….is someone doing new strips in his style? Such a loss, such a clever, insightful man he was..
There are pictures of my sister and I romping in a huge leaf pile in the 50s. Afterwards the leaves were burned. It was legal then. It was a nice scent as I remember it.

There are tons of rompable leaf piles in my neighborhood. ‘Course you’ll have to watch out for irate leaf rakers.
