What breakfast food company was instrumental in the popularity of meat loaf? RT & win!And for…Answers to previous day’s questions:http://on.fb.me/fplMZT
Well mom, maybe the fact that you’re serving the meatloaf in a soup pot (it should be in a LOAF pan) may have something to do with it! Makes me wonder what that meatloaf looks like!
Now this would be perfect if Pellie was sitting at the table with them!
And yes, I vote for Quaker Oats also. Second guess would be Kellogg’s Corn Flakes.
To shytimes2: Count me in. My husband or I make a great meatloaf. And I love using the leftovers for sandwiches. We’ve used different ways to make it and I’m right now thinking of another.
Probably was the oats. I have some daily in my breakfast bars and that’s enough. I concocted a recipe for a very dense bar with so many healthy fibers that I can’t name all-and sweetened just with apples and raisons. I’ve been making all food from scratch over a year and had annual blood draw yesterday-hoping to see great changes with my results.
I also thought it was a strange choice of pan for a meatloaf. I haven’t made one in a long time, but I do bake whole grain pasta and cheeses with meat mixtures and keep servings as an alternate dish in the freezer.
Probably was Quaker Oats, however, a recipe using oats usually turns out extremely dense and heavy. I prefer to make mine using homade bread crumbs. I put a glaze on top made of BBQ sauce. Serve with either mashed or steamed potatoes and sweet peas. Ahhhhhh, comfort food.
