No, seriously, why DO we have summers off from school?
We have summers off to enjoy life and realize that life is only a prison for 9 months out of the yearl
…and to prepare us for when we only get two weeks. It is like…what IS to look forward to.
It goes back to when we were a much more rural soceity. Little kids had a lot of uses on farms, such as scaring off birds, weeding and removing rocks from the fields. They were no longer needed for a while after the September harvest season.
Those days are long gone. I’m lucky to get a week off spaced out day here and day there through the summer months.
So the teachers can go to Re-Hab and be ready for next year!
should be year round school….a month off for Christmas – December and then April and then Augusut. School three months at a time.

Back when were kids, we used to have summers off form school so we can do more things outdoors from [then] June to September.
