@ JPuzzleWhiz I have a blogger site with my fiction and non fiction writing. I also have a WordPress site for my cartoon strip. No, I don’t like my job.
Eh some days yes and some days no. It’s not easy owning your own business. On the plus side, I can make my own hours most of the time. That means I can volunteer at school and go on field trips with my kid. On the neg side, when things go south, we have to cut hours or let people go. That really bothers me because these guys have families and kids. Maybe I worry too much about other people. All I know is sometimes the heaping amount of responsibility truly blows.
JPuzzleWiz The business has a website, but I don’t. I do have a few things bookmarked on my home page. Let’s see, there’s All classical (an awesome satellite station Happyx3 showed me), Star Talker Radio Show, NAGC (Nat. Assoc. of Gifted Children), and Cow and Boy (a comic that used to be here).
Yes, I LOVE MY JOB! And a big plus, for 98% of the time, my co-workers and I get along just great, and when we don’t, it “blows over” quickly. Most of us have been together a LONG time, turnover here is non-existent! That says something for the working conditions..
I liked my jobs when I was still working. I’m 76 now and did not find another since my last layoff here in the Phoenix area. When I visited Chicago last (in 2012) my last employer there said they’d still have a job for me, but I love the weather here (even though it was well over 100 today) and I’ve learned to live on social security with my required deductions from my various IRAs. (Fortunately I always invested the max of matching funds etc. and controlled the investments well).

I love the job itself – it’s all the ancillary corporate BS I can’t stand
