“Bigamy?”… um…. when I go get Tony’s question… isn’t that bigamy?
But tonight Tigressy got it…. which was bigga her.
Ok…. to answer it…..
Who do I ask?
x_Tech.
BTW I used to use Ask.com when it was still called AskJeeves.com
First search engine (AFAIK) to accept questions in natural syntax.
But of course, Google’s algorithm became unbeatable…..
and it’s been years since I went directly to Ask.com….
which became almost a Wikipedia clone for a while…
or to my other old haunts like About.com, AltaVista, or DogPile.
PS… Tigressy…. your English grammar is great…. just a usage note here on colloquial American speech:
While I still use “whom” in some constructions, I’d say most Americans use “who” even where it’s technically incorrect, especially when speaking.
Almost no one, for instance, says “From whom did you get that?” but will opt for “Who did you get that from?” .. in spite of my high school English teacher’s howls of pain from the Great Beyond.
“Whom do you ask?”, while proper, is almost archaic nowadays, even in writing.
