Feels like one Calvin and Hobbes strip: Calvin calls out to his mother from the front door. Mom gripes about him yelling across the house and just walk to the living room where she is. Calvin obediently and casually does so and asks her where the garden hose is because he stepped in dog doo, much to Mom’s angered chagrin. Bill Watterson commented in The Tenth Anniversary Book it was a right lesson, but the wrong time.
