Don’t ask a question with hidden agenda, e.g., “Why aren’t you doing your homework?” True answer, “I don’t want to.” You expected your question to initiate action on homework, but the child answered honestly. Put your message out clearly. “Get busy on your homework!”
You are in training kid. Much like a young puppy. You have to learn how to be a good member of the family group and as such, must be corrected for wrong behavior. In your case, it will be a VERY long process. There’s usually one slow learner like you in every litter…..
