I try not to be rude, but yes.

Ignoring one of my parent’s instructions to do chores wasn’t an option, nor was dawdling on one to avoid another. Not if I wanted to escape having extra tasks added to the list.

Who chewed the handle off the rake?

In your case, honesty should come with a filter!
