I can’t tell you how many times this has happened to me. The fears of it happening again keep me awake at night. Which is bad because it affects my balance and sense of depth perception the next day.
Here’s something that happened back when I was in grade school: We had those old-style drinking fountains, recessed into the walls. A girl was getting a drink and a guy poked her on both sides below the ribs. Startled, the girl jumped up and the back of her head hit the top of the fountain’s niche. This impact knocked her head back down again,and she broke two teeth on the bottom of the porcelain niche.
