All newborns look like Winston Churchill. This rule applies to all races, gender, skin color. Doesn’t matter.
All babies are ugly as newborns. See above. Get over it. However, some babies remain ugly. It is a sad fact. But you CAN avoid social censure without being forced to lie. My step-father had it down to a science.
Faced with an ugly baby, forced by his personal principals to never lie, he would look at the swaddled gargoyle, smile at the parent and exclaim “That’s some baby!”
Idiotic to separate the babies from their mother putting them in big room. Insanity.
Imagine you were an unlucky baby who is switched out with a monster’s and carried away. Or a devil cult or aliens and you grow up seeing that other baby with your parents…

Many women (and men) don’t experience the “love at first sight” thing. Many new parents worry when they don’t. So don’t put much faith in that idea.
