Hooray! Maybe we can finally get a resolution to the Nitrates’ story.(Didn’t their car crash through the ice almost a year ago?)This storyline has been left hanging so long, I’ve lost interest in these characters, and just want it all wrapped up.--Yesterday Mike gave us a teaser for yet another storyline.I don’t know about anyone else here, but I wish he’d stop with these teasers until he follows up (and finishes) some of the stories he’s teased us with.Including:1) The Blackhearts’ leader back from Europe (what was he doing there? what’s he doing here? what are they up to?)2) Blaze Rise recruited by B-B Eyes for a job 3) The Abner Kadaver mask in Rikki Mortis’ bedroom 4) Mysta’s growing powers (and the Lunarians at Moon Maid’s grave)5) Stiletta Jones’ promise of revenge6) Abner Kadaver’s unfinished contract on Tracy7) Agate Aggie’s visit to BO and GertiePlus Blackjack, and at least a dozen other bad guys marking time in Tracyville.Mike can take his pick. But I sure want to see some of these finished before we get any more teasers.--I really wish those last two panels yesterday were spent tying up events at the theatre, or re-introducing the Nitrates.-- On the upside, we may be getting the world’s first vegan hyena. (Or, he’ll eat them, and end the story that way.)
Nice to see the family all together! Interesting that an abandoned drive in theater would still have electricity and heat. I would think that the Nitrates should be having the same weenie roast that Gruesome enjoyed. Just thinking. All these plots are making me sle….ZZZZZZZ.

The drive-in looks neglected and it doesn’t look to me as if the flea market has been happening for some time, but someone still seems to be paying the power bill even if the popcorn machine was broken.
Well, Stilldamatt beat me to it. The first thing I was thinking as I was reading the strip and wiping the cobwebs out of my eyes was “Who the heck is paying for the power to that place?” They clearly switched cars, as the new one doesn’t have those machine guns on the fenders – the artists showed that a few weeks back. So getting power off the aux. power plant is out of the picture.
Funny how a strip about seeing a baby yesterday generates twice the comments of the action ones, lol. And Vista Bill needs to bring a gun capable of killing alligators and an expanding rod with him to that drive-in….
Yes, the Nitrates have a van. They said so on December 8. We see the Christmas tree is secured to it on December 9. This does not mean they have switched cars. They may now possess (gasp) both the van and the Wonder Car. While they would be foolish to drive around in the car they used to make an underwater getaway from Tracy, it seems too well equipped to simply abandon. A van could transport a generator, but I’m not interested in the source of power at Skyvue. In time we may well learn the fate of the Wonder Car. In the meantime, we have learned the source of Lena’s supper. I see that Silver has returned (wearing a winter coat) with groceries. Today’s strip reminds me of some of my trips to the Drive-In, but that is another story…

I would be, too. You can’t make everybody happy, so there’s not much point trying. Even though I say there’s a plot hole, it doesn’t concern me. I don’t think it’s important that there’s no explanation for where they are getting the power.
