I’m sure it will be explained soon, but Trixie Tinkle was married to Oliver Warbucks. She only wanted his money and she didn’t like Little Orphan Annie and Sandy at all. In the end, she mysteriously vanished and Oliver refused to explain what happened. Here’s a sample from 1932:

In this strip, after discussing with her friend Gypsy Gay how to get more money out of Oliver she decided to get her lawyer, Tim Jackel, evolved.
Yes, it seems that Annie was orphaned from her own strip and her world is becoming more and more integrated with Tracy’s.
Nothing to do with the current storyline, but now that my contribution tot he TRACY mythos is complete, I hope you’ll indulge me in a little shameless self-promotion.
My first novel was released some months back. It’s a cop novel, a “police procedural” to use the genre term, set in Berkeley, CA, featuring my series character. Dan Sullivan, who I’ve used in a dozen or so short stories over the years before using him in a book-length piece of fiction.
It’s called AN OBSCURE GRAVE. It was a finalist for a Dagger award given by the British Crime Writers Assn. You can find out more about it here:
BB Eyes REALLY needed that EXPLAINED to him? Thought he was pretty bright. Also, how NOT already incarcerated for the attempted first degree murder of Tracy’s granddaughter earlier, is beyond me…
It is interesting that Trixie’s sworn statement is the main evidence against BB Eyes. In a trial, the statement would be considered hearsay, and standing alone would not be able to form the basis for a conviction. At a trial, you would need the sworn testimony of the incriminating witness to convict, or to put it another way, Trixie would have to be produced to testify (absent a totally circumstantial case) in order to convict BB.
So, is B-B Eyes beating this rap in Trixie’s absence? (The poor girl may be suffering from an extreme case of ADS—Assisted Death Syndrome.) Maybe this is actually just part of the set-up to getting B-B Eyes out “on the street” again so that he can present yet another nefarious challenge to Tracy and his MCU team. This isn’t a Minit Mystery, so there is time for it all to play out….

It’s available in hardback, trade paper, and Kindle. If you happen to have Kindle Unlimited, it’s free.
Best of all, it’s NOT a whodunit.
And, in the meantime, my two Tracy prose stories, are still available at Neil’s site.
Thanks.
And thanks for the lively conversation over the last two weeks.
