Sam got smug a little too soon. As it stands now; Ferret will be stopped and likely arrested for hit and run. She hopes that they weren’t seen at Moran’s house which would open up a new can of worms.

So, all hands in the Major Crime Unit are focused on that hit-and-run accident. Well, I suppose they already noticed that the owner of the car was associated with a brother who was murdered.

I don’t know anything about drones. Is it odd that these can apparently fly in rain? I can understand that they’d be carried away by high wind, but what about precipitation?

So the whole purpose of today’s strip is draw attention to Sam’s sarcasm.

Honestly I like these last few strips. Feels like there’s actual investigating going on.

Things get moving shortly. I’ve seen next week’s layouts and the first day of the final one. You’ll be glad to see action. Tracy has Sam stop to pick up his laundry, a little grocery shopping, the new donut shop…

I’m a little bit more concerned about the fact that the police department in Tracyville have drones watching everything that is happening in the city… #BIGBROTHER

We lost the car because it’s too windy for our drones to be flying. But our other drone just picked it up. Huh?

SAM: I think it’s the other way around – how did a crime term get associated with baseball – don’t forget they also have “steal”.

SAM: Those aren’t crime terms, dum dum.

3-DT: Maybe not but the hookers in the Tendergroin District often ask me if I wanna pay for the first and ultimately tell me that I have the second.

RIGOR: The suspect’s car is stuck behind a line of school busses. Easy pickings if you wanna…

DT: ALL RIGHT ALREADY! SWAT is on the way! This’ll be a day the kids will always remember! How exciting for them!

Exactly why is Tracy(chief detective and head of Major Crimes) getting involved with A-a car hitting a police car and B-why they have their drone guy following it. Sounds like that would be totally outside his area of responsibility. Drones everywhere? Looks like Tracyville is really into CCTV

But The Claw(DICK TRACY’S DILEMMA)hasn’t made thecut yet.(No pun intended).

What, are they driving through lake Michigan in P1?

I like this inside baseball stuff. Who ever thinks of “the wind messed my drone up”? Reminded a little of the EC WW1 comic (by Kurtzman) where the trapped squad sends out their last pigeon, and instead of flying like it’s supposed to, it just sits on a tree, and the Germans start shooting at it. The doughboys finally get it to leave by throwing stuff at it.

Still in business is the Congress Hotel in Tucson,Arizona—-where they captured John Dillinger or at least some members of his gang;depending on who’s telling the story.

You can stay there,but make sure to ask for a room AWAY from the nightclub.

With the Great Lakes area hotter than blazes,Dillingerand gang holed up in faraway Tucson where they hopednobody knew them.

Something happened that wasn’t in the script.The hotel caught fire.AFter they got out,the crooks bribed fireman to rush back in and rescue their luggage.

But they left by a different door where the crooks couldn’t see them;and noticed the suitcases they’d rescued were unusually heavy.They opened them to find a fortune in cash and disassembled submachine guns.

Dillinger was arrested and returned to the Great Lakes—-where he staged his famous “Wooden Gun Escape”.An escape Gould milked twice in the early days of the strip.

Guys, I apologize. I just re-reviewed the strip for tomorrow and, unless they were corrected, there are two errors in the dialog. Not sure why these weren’t corrected when they were noted.

So much for Sam Catchem’s opinion of “hi-tech”!

But it is not clear just how much (or little) Tracy has on the sideswiper. Has he identified the Little Red Kia as Constance “Ferret” Dooley’s car? And when if ever will he become aware of her (and Ape’s) snooping around the Moran Mansion/crime scene?
