The book nerd in me has been enjoying this story, & Ms. Libris is one of the more intriguing characters to appear in this strip in the past year or so, but at a certain point this story has to get some real momentum going. Characters essentially saying they’ve wasted their time is not the way to go about it.
Today’s abrupt shift back to the office for some coffee only solidifies how bogus and fake yesterday’s “action” was. I’m shocked so many fell for it and actually thought it was exciting and well done.
Will Lizz be the only one that has ANY useful intel ? You know what would be neat ?!? The story ends with this one going into the cold case files. LOL !
I will admit that I like the subtle look on Lee in panel one. She seems to be saying; ’Oh oh, words like that are gonna send Firestrike into a goatfilled fantasy!" LOL!
If Ms. Libris isn’t the actual killer, she will probably be involved in the capture….way too much time involving her to be a throwaway character not to be seen again….
Okay, was Tracy being honest when he set up the appointment for the stated reason of learning more about manuscripts, or was he regarding her as a potential suspect? And, if he was just there for information – why did he start his line of questioning on relationships with the victims? And, if he already regarded her as a potential suspect, why? Has there been any reason to regard her as such? Does Tracy simply stop random people on the street and start questioning them about a crime, hoping he’ll get lucky, or are we seeing the deus ex machina again of Tracy apparently having ESP?
(The ESP speeds up the strip. And I know some people want things sped up. I’d like a logical progression of discovery.)
they’re going at t from the wrong end. these are difficult to move items. stop following the trail and work out where they are going to end up. Who would want them and how do you move them?
1-SAM: So you got a rise out of Ms. Libris? DT: Yes but how did you know I called my little detective “Ms. Libris”?!?
2-…What do you call your “little detective,” Lee?
3-LEE: Strap On, Strap Off, The Strapper. I know it’s a mouthful but… SAM: Speaking of mouthful, I call mine… DT: Nobody asked you, Sam. Now go get me a donut.
I love how some people seem to imply they would rather have a gunfight or an arrest in this strip every day….I personally think this is going on quite well.
Well, Lee and the majority of us seem to be at the same point today.
It’s good to see that Tracy survived his encounter with the Drama Queen, Xaviera, even if he could not draw anything further out of her. Does Lee, in fact, have anything positive to report from the Pfister Institute?

Good morning™, all!
No climax with Ms. Libris after that! Sounds like Lee was pretty unsuccessful. Maybe Lizz uncovered more?

However,,,, Shelley drew Lee waaay too masculine in the 3rd panel. She looks like a dude in drag(can I say that???)
Sorry, Shelley worshippers!

Invisible Pixels & Print Dept: Tracy has blank windows open on his monitor and there are blank notes tacked to the bulletin board.

Shelley finally blew one.
Panel 3—not only does Lee look like she gained 50 pounds overnight;she also looks like Amanda Waller.
And you don’t wish that on ANY woman!!

Yes, it is but the missing 4th panel would certainly tighten things up a bit.
