This is kind of what I was saying yesterday. There is someone more significant that Sprengstoff in this story, but we haven’t yet seen who it might be. In a more typical Tracy story, we would already know.
I can still remember the days when Dick Tracy would be going all-out in trying to solve a case, not spending his time wondering how he could dump it off on another department or agency. Yeah, the good old days….
It turns out Sprenghoff was planning to blow up the clock tower. Crazy clock guy from back in October found out, and decided to nip the problem in the proverbial bud.
International terrorist on US soil should bring in the FBI. Murder may or may not be related to suspected terrorist activities, but FBI will be interested.
Sorry Tracy, you might be using your ESP again – but you’re still wrong.
Tracy appears to say that if the murder is domestic the FBI has no interest. WRONG And you wonder what makes Tracy think the murder is domestic? Apparently the fact Totten has assigned a low priority to fixing a clock that would bring in no profit…
Sloppy police work by tracy. you don’t know his threat is neutralized, he could have set something up tik tok and he was removed to get rid of loose ends.
2- : …You left a lotta streaks when you last cleaned these windows. Say – are we working a case now. I forget…
3- MEANWHILE, ONE FLOOR BELOW IN HOMICIDE: I want you all to stop worrying about turnstile jumper Springsprong and his history with explosives and terrorism. I assure you that Tracy has everything well in hand…
Who so easily kills a professional assassin except another professional assassin who was better?Even if the victim WAS partially whacked out at the time
I appreciate the effort at crafting a detailed and thought out mystery, but if the story doesn’t offer any reason for us to care about the people involved in the mystery there is nothing emotionally driving the story. In any case, for what it’s worth, I enjoy colorful villains more in general who tend to generate some interest in their own right.
Important message for the A.D.D. Our fellow Detective, JoshHere is in the hospital. He reached out to me and told me he was in a bad accident and is recovering slowly. He has a way to go. He gave me permission to share since we worry when one of us goes MIA. I’ll check in with him and post updates when possible. I’ve sent healing thoughts and prayers as he needs them. Peace my fellow Detectives.
good prayers, good healing, good luck, good vibes, good wishes and good mojo to the Joshmeister…
extend those sentiments to him, Marcus, willya?…
tell him this asylum is short one inmate too many and he needs to return to complete this stacked deck of jokers who aren’t playing with a full deck to begin with… LOL…
Sprengstoff’s “threat is neutralized.” Ummm. Who talks like that? They didn’t know until just now, while investigating his murder, that Sprengstoff had planted a bomb. He was a threat they didn’t know about. Tracy shouldn’t be concerned about Sprengstoff ever being a threat because he was neutralized before they even knew about it.
And who is talking in P3? Tracy? Why would he be concerned with the FBI? Is he being childishly territorial?

The soundtrack to Eric’s storytelling style would never be “Revolution” or “Helter Skelter”, but more along the lines of “The Long and Winding Road”.
Yeah Yeah Yeah!!!

Out here in NY football fans are dying by inches.
The only NY football team are the Bills, and they might as well be playing on Mars.
We lost our two teams to NJ years ago.
The Jets could have and should have had their own stadium on the Westside but greed killed the deal.

We’re still floundering, until the FBI takes it from us. Must be the silencer knew what he was up to and put a stop to it ?

quick glance, looks like a younger Martha Stewart in p3… she’s probably telling them how to properly store their lunch bags in the fridge.

Begging the question refers to circular reasoning. What we have, dear detective, is an unanswered question.

Who killed him and why?
